We're excited to announce our upcoming Whole Dojo Seminar & Coloured Belt Grading Tests   This event offers an opportunity for students from all branches to come together for training and assessment.   SEMINAR ONLY (not participating in the Grading Test) $20.00 COLOURED BELT GRADING TEST (includes Seminar) $70.00 All Participants are required to hold a current Karate Australia Membership: https://www.jindokai.com.au/registration/   IMPORTANT: All Jindokai Members are STRONGLY encouraged to attend the Whole Dojo Seminar, on Saturday, May the 10th. (Whether you are participating in the Grading Test, or not) Seminar is followed by our Dojo Group Photograph @ 11:30am   Coloured Belt Grading Tests: GRADING Test Inclusions: Question Time Basic Skill Drills Target Work – precision and timing Kumite – Skills & Assessment criteria Kata – at least 3 Kata NORMAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA APPLIES: All Participating Members MUST be able to demonstrate the following: Complete the minimum number of Training Sessions Competency in Kata; including knowledge of applications, and skilfully performed Competency in Kumite; including an understanding of essential assessment criteria Understands basic terminology, and concepts of traditional Karate training Recommendations: Stay and watch the group that follows your group - making sure that you write down anything that you are unsure about - helping you to be better prepared for your next test. Attend, even if you are not participating - it is recommended that you attend, to watch, and prepare for your next test. Bring a note-pad – write yourself notes – what went well? – what did not? TERMS & CONDITIONS: Don’t be late: Participants will NOT be given entry, if arriving after your Test has commenced. Passing is NOT guaranteed: Participants that do not achieve the required ‘pass-mark’, WILL NOT receive a new Rank. NO PASS - No Refund: Attempting your test, but not passing, will cost you your entire fee. ALL PAYMENTS TO BE MADE ON THE EVENT PLATFORM – NO PAYMENTS ACCEPTED, AT THE DOJO.   Community: In the same way that you occasionally seek assistance from others, it is important that you are present when others need Your help, too. Jindokai - Traveling Party, for the WSKF International Training Seminar & World Championships - 2025 Hi team, It's time to get serious! In order to commence our Final Planning process, we will need to know details of all individuals that will be travelling with us; whether you plan to participate, or not. This is a good time to ensure that your PASSPORT is current. Please complete the Expression of Interest Form, on this page - ASAP - thank you. LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS APRIL 30th WHATSAPP: All registrants will be added to a WhatsApp Group Chat - following the Registrations, to assist with communications. Please do not put the same Mobile Number for all Family Members (unless they don't have their own). 2024 - Jindokai Shotokan Karate-Do - BEACH TRAINING & BBQ Wednesday, 11th of December Arrive @ 6:00pm, for a 6:30pm Training Safety Information: No Late Arrivals: If you are not present at the Safety Briefing – you will NOT be allowed to participate. Swimming: Parental Supervision Required - DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN UNATTENDED - Shallow water swimming ONLY. Sun Smart: don’t forget your Sunscreen, Hat & Sunglasses. It gets Cold: bring warm clothes, for afterward. Showers: Change-Rooms, Toilets & Showers, within the North Haven Surf Life Saving Clubrooms – Parents are to stay with their children, in the wet-areas. After training - The Surf Club will provide a BBQ and Drinks, for purchasing.

Certificates are generated at Head Office, and signed by Kasuya Sensei. 1st-Kyu to Black Belt Test - $250.00 Existing, Club-Assessed Black Belts - WSKF Upgrade - $190.00 All existing, Club-Assessed Black Belts will need to do this test - if you are not able to participate in this test, you should plan to participate in the next one. Your opportunity to participate in a Second-Dan Test, will depend on the date of your First-Dan Test. Long-term Black Belts, that were assessed through the JKA system, can grade for their next rank, based on the dates of their JKA Certificate.   Participating in the Dan-Test, but not being assessed DOES NOT REQUIRE A GRADING TEST TICKET (Seminar Fee only)   Being a Black Belt is about behaviour, as much as it is about knowledge & skills being an example, being a role-model, and supporting your colleagues are all Black Belt characteristics.     REGISTRATIONS CLOSE - Saturday, November 2nd NO LATE REGISTRATIONS Test Schedule will be produced, once all Registrations have been received. World Karate Day is celebrated in late October, each year; and is celebrated with the 100 Kata Challenge. We will be hosting a (Shotokan) 100 Kata Challenge at our Playford Dojo, on October 22nd, for the 2023 World Karate Karate Day. Registration is Required (on this platform), to manage Payment and official attendance. Registered participants will receive a commemorative certificate.
